Please see below word document and Excel spreadsheet for my Assessment 3 draft. I would love any feedback on this, as accounting is not my background, I am never confident in my assignments for this course.

Hey Emma,
ReplyDeleteGreat explanations as always, gee I like the way you put things!
Formatting wise (maybe it's my laptop) I think some of page 2 has crept up onto page 1 and the footer is jumping into two rows at the bottom of the page instead of one.
I don't want to gush at you, but I really appreciate the explanations you've given of each ratio, and the fact that you supported one of them with a quote from Caltex that states how they keep their liquidity ratio stable. I'd say this indicates quite a bit of research on your part.
Just a typo on p. 4, where you've got 'it is positive to see *his* figure reducing'.
Your explanations of each ratio are clear and I think your choice of options for Caltex to invest in were quite realistic.
All in all, great work!
Hi Emma,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to leave you a few comments on your assessment 3.
Step 1: this is excellent I really like how you worded it and that you displayed the figures with the discussion. I have learned more about ratios reading your assessment than the study material due to being worded more simply. Reading about your economic drivers was very interesting as your industry is so different than mine. your layout for excel is great and well followed, I just wish that I could access your document through excel as I can not really see how you have linked ratios etc. The figures looks great though.
Step 2: This is well done as it was interesting to read your comparison between the decisions which lead you to the one you made. Your calculations look great again I wish i could see these through excel, but a great recommendation and discussion compensated me for this.
well done on this assessment and good luck with your future studies!
